Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
